Great retail and hospitality design has to work beyond the render.
It is driven by customer behaviour and experience, responding to context, culture, community, site and brand, with the aim of creating spaces that feel relevant, intentional and grounded in reality.
With 15+ years of experience across retail, hospitality and F&B design, I’ve delivered work for brands including Adidas, Huawei, Starbucks and Varley, alongside creative design agencies across fashion, lifestyle and global retail environments. The work sits between concept thinking and technical delivery, translating ideas into physical spaces that feel as considered in reality as they do in concept.
My experience includes spatial planning, concept development, technical packages and visualisation across international projects.
About me
I was born and raised in good old Barnsley, Yorkshire, before spending my school years between the Midlands and the North.
I studied Art and Design at college before going on to Nottingham Trent University, where I trained in Interior Architecture and Design. The course was intense, competitive and hands-on, building a strong foundation in both creative thinking and technical discipline.
After graduating in 2011, my career began in Somerset within retail design before a move to London, joining Monsoon Accessorize as an in-house designer. From there, I joined Starbucks and spent several years within the global design team, developing retail environments across international markets and learning how to balance brand, customer experience and operational reality at scale.
Following Starbucks, I transitioned into agency-led work with leading experience design studios working across retail, hospitality and F&B environments. This shift brought a more varied, fast-paced project-based role, working between concept thinking and technical delivery on international projects.
Since 2019, I’ve been based in Portugal, working remotely with London and international agencies in the same time zone. Work is delivered through a UK-registered limited company, continuing across retail and hospitality sectors in a fully remote setup.
